As an HRIS Analyst at UWCU, you will be at the forefront of optimizing and maintaining our People Strategies and Solutions (PSS)/Human Resources (HR) systems. Your expertise will drive improvements in efficiency, enhance user experiences, and ensure our systems align with our business objectives. You will collaborate with various teams, identify opportunities for system enhancements, and implement technical solutions that support our strategic goals.

This is a hybrid position requiring an onsite presence at our Administrative Offices located in Madison, WI.

Responsibilities

Improve HR System Performance and Support (30%):

    Evaluate PSS/HR systems to eliminate redundancy, increase efficiency, and recommend improvements.
  • Identify gaps in processes and workflows, proposing solutions to enhance system performance and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with industry peers and vendors to exchange best practices and stay updated on trends.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of PSS/HR systems, integrations, and workflows.

Implement Technical Solutions to Support Business Objectives (30%):

  • Translate business objectives into technical requirements, partnering with stakeholders and SAAS vendors to streamline PSS/HR processes.
  • Design and implement solutions to maximize system capabilities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries and provide support, change management, and training to HR users.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendor to integrate PSS/HR systems and workflows with other applications.

People Analytics (30%):

  • Develop HR reports and data analytics using reporting tools, data sources, and dashboards to inform decision-making.
  • Coordinate reporting functions within the People Technology team to support data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure the quality of HR data, perform regular audits, and implement data protection measures.
  • Catalog all ongoing and scheduled reports in the employee data management catalog.
  • Work cross-functionally with IT and data teams to develop and align data analytics to advance the organization's data decision maturity through continuous improvement of analytic standards and methods

Project Management (10%):

  • Act as the IT liaison and subject matter expert for PSS/HR platforms.
  • Create and maintain project plans to complete improvements and initiatives.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external teams.
  • Compose effective project communications and user guides.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 6-7 years' experience in Human Resources, Technology, and/or related field required.
  • 4-5 years' experience working as an HRIS Analyst or in a similar technical role with HR operations experience required.
  • Experience with UKG preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR systems database schemas, design, structure, functions, and processes.
  • High emotional intelligence and strong relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships and accomplish objectives.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities to ensure meeting deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong planning and follow-through skills.
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and manage multiple activities to establish priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex systems issues and recommend innovative, creative, practical, and effective solutions.
  • Effective analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to make sound recommendations and take the initiative to facilitate executing research and plans.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate tactfully and maturely with teammates and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, agile, self-organizing team environment.
  • Ability to write technical requirements, procedures, and job aids to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with strict confidence.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
