Summary/Objective:

We are looking for customer service focused individuals to build a rewarding long-term career with us as a Claims Associate.

Our objective is to return our customers to a pre-loss condition of their specialty product while providing a high-level of customer service. We are responsible for processing and approving claims for our Insurance customers at a fair and reason market rate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   1. Professionally handle a high volume of inbound/outbound calls daily
  2. Multi-tasking, organization & time management.
  3. Call escalation
  4. Data collection and entry.
  5. Claim follow-up as need to conclude as quickly as possible.
  6. Excellent Customer Service and communication skills
  7. Eagerness to learn about insurance policies and claims from the inside out.
  8. Team player.
  9. Willingness to work overtime when necessary.

Working Conditions:

  1. Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  2. May sit for several hours at a time.
  3. Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  4. Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. Proficient computer skills

Competencies:

  1. Well-spoken individual who can communicate clearly and respectfully with customer's (internal & external) via phone, email or in person.
  2. Capable of working within a team-based structure.
  3. Positive attitude
  4. System experience with Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce, Excel and D365
  5. Ability to work independently, under pressure to meet deadlines/timelines.
  6. Team player, open to change and changing priorities a must.
  7. Demonstrated high sense of urgency, organizational skills, and time management.
  8. Possess a strong ability to multitask and problem solve in a fast passed environment.
  9. Must be able to remain collected in stressful situations
  10. Willing and able to work overtime, when necessary.
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  12. Customer service experience, preferably in a retail or sales environment

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Clerical- Operates office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers. Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages. Communicates with management, team members, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information and take instructions. Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system. Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails. Prepare agendas for meetings and prepare schedules. Record, compile, transcribe and distribute minutes of meetings.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend work is occasionally required.

Travel:

Local travel is expected for this position.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
  2. Claims experience preferred

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
