The opportunity

Our Tax team is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in the Houston office to support our growing business.

Reporting to the US Tax Manager, the Tax Analyst will actively participate in TC Energy's tax function to ensure compliance with federal and state tax reporting requirements. The Tax Analyst will provide tax compliance and tax accounting support to various stakeholders including supporting the Tax Accounting and Forecast group.

What you'll do

• Prepare federal and state corporate income tax returns
• Prepare federal and state partnership returns
• Prepare and review of depreciation reports used for return filings and forecasts
• Assist with income tax audits
• Prepare federal and state quarterly estimated tax installments
• Assist with special projects as assigned by management
• Other tasks as required

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2 to 4 years' experience in federal and/or state income tax
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent organizational skills that allow the candidate to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong team player who is able to work well with others
• Good communication skills
• Detail oriented

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of OneSource tax software, CCH research tools and PowerTax fixed asset software
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Regulatory accounting experience
