Your opportunity

As a Financial Analyst at New Relic, you will act as a key business partner to the Product and Infrastructure teams. This role will be responsible for all financial aspects of Infrastructure and R&D spend; reporting, forecasting, and tracking cost optimization efforts. Reporting to Senior Manager (FP&A), this position is critical to supporting the respective business leaders and General Managers to drive strategic cost initiatives, evaluating investments, financial due diligence with procurement, and headcount planning. The Financial Analyst will act as a key analytical engine and resource to provide insights and support efficient business decision-making!

What you'll do
Track and analyze cloud spend, derive unit costs and provide business insights on Gross Margin performance
Develop and manage cost attribution financial models to construct product P&L
Build and maintain annual budgets as well as own all facets of month-end close processes including variance analysis and forecasting
Conduct financial analysis to support pricing decisions, drive insights on trends, investment areas, and opportunities for cost optimization
Partner with Engineering and Product Management on key investments and business initiatives
Serve as financial support for large-scale, cloud architecture projects
Proactively find opportunities for operational improvements; own and drive improvement to implementation

This role requires
  • 2+ years experience in Finance, with a focus on business financial planning, analysis, and forecasting.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Business-related field. MBA, CPA, or an advanced degree is a plus.

  • Expert analytical skills and advanced financial modeling techniques, with the ability to build and convey business insight, and drive action.

  • Self-starter with a "can do" attitude who is comfortable asking questions.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and deliver results in an unstructured environment

Estimated Base Pay Range: $ 83,000 - $ 104,000
The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
