What you will do:

You will have primary responsibility to support broad-based variable compensation activities across Johnson Controls global footprint. As an essential incentives operational team member within our center of excellence you will assist with incentive compensation plan design, data analytics, project planning and the implementation. Within this role, you will manage various activities from day-to-day operational tasks to coordinating projects with cross-functional teams. The role reports to the Head of Sales Compensation and regularly collaborates with HR, Sales, Finance, Sales leaders.

How you will do it:

  • Leading day-to-day activities of the Sales Compensation Team including aspects of design, implementation, administration, communication, policy creation, monitoring, and reporting

  • Performing activities related to sales plan governance, profitability, and progress towards strategic objectives through data modelling, integrity audits and analytics related to incentive programs. This includes preparing regular scorecards and reports for Total Rewards leadership and executive teams

  • Helping to design and improve incentives plans by influencing the decision-making process through expert advice, research, strong personal experience and business understanding

  • Providing global support for annual Total Rewards processes like compensation benchmarking/surveys, large incentive changes, merit planning and incentive administration

  • Advising HR Business Partners and managers on compensation decisions to ensure alignment with policy and business objectives

  • Identifying, researching, and providing recommendations for sales compensation-related inquiries in a timely manner

  • Delivering total rewards support or general tasks as assigned

What we look for:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related field

  • At least5 years of experience with broad-based variable compensation - both domestic and international

  • A history of success working toward deadlines, multi-tasking and operating in an environment with rapidly shifting priorities

  • An ability to build partnerships effectively with colleagues even when they are located in other parts of the world

  • A strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to "see the bigger picture"

  • Successful experience framing and solving complex problems addressing both quantitative and qualitative aspects

  • Demonstrated project management skills

  • Exceptional skills with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools

  • A desire to work in an organization where you are encouraged and expected to challenge the "status quo" and deliver on your commitments

Preferred

  • Previous experience with large HR systems - Workday or PeopleSoft

This will be a hybrid position based at our Glendale, WI office three days per week.
