Position Description

This role is an important member of the Power Generation team as we develop our supplier and customer partnerships to define the future of power generation cooling. The Procurement Summer Intern is responsible for developing linear price regression models and other analytics for top purchased components within the Modine Power Generation vertical. Responsibilities will be to obtain and catalog part specification and pricing data for multiple commodities including manifolds, fabricated steel components, hardware, fans and fan drives, and other related items. This role can be hybrid or remote with appropriate travel to Racine, WI as well as Modine and supplier facilities, and will report to the Power Generation Procurement Director.

Key Responsibilities

Data Gathering

  • Obtain all relevant technical documentation for relevant parts and catalog in a manner supporting linear regression and other analytical modeling.
  • Obtain all relevant commercial data such as price, manufacturing location, supplier performance, etc., and catalog in a manner supporting linear regression and other analytical modeling.

Analytics

  • Develop linear price regression and other models to support:
  • Cost savings opportunity identification
  • Quote turnaround speed
  • Should-cost model development


Other

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Travel ~ 20% of time. Travel may be required to Modine facilities or supplier locations.
Required Education & Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree program in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Operations, Business Management, Engineering or another technical field.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid working data analytics skills.
