Electro Mechanical Intern

Position Overview

The Electro Mechanical Intern will work in a hands-on learning environment, assisting in the maintenance of all production equipment, which includes but is not limited to: electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, servo, and PC systems, as well as general building maintenance.

This internship is year-round, not only summer. Suggested for students of a two year technical degree, suggested of NWTC or FVTC electrical mechanical program, however, other schools could qualify. Minimum of 15-20 hours during school, 32-40 hour per week during summer.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Performing preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshooting breakdowns
  • Equipment installation
  • Installation of electrical equipment including cable trays, pulling cable and wires, running conduit, installing drives and motors.
  • PLC troubleshooting and programming
  • Replacement and installation of lighting fixtures and lamps as required.
  • General building maintenance
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Good troubleshooting ability, manual dexterity, and ability to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints
  • Familiarity with AC, DC, low voltage, and 480V
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work with aerial platforms
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be enrolled in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Automation Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or Electrical Engineering program and working towards a degree
  • Must be enrolled in a school that is close to De Pere, WI. This position is a year-round position, and will be working directly inside out De Pere Division of Folding Carton. Preferable NWTC or FVTC, however, other schools will qualify.

Division Description

The Folding Carton Division is an industry leading manufacturer of folding cartons for food, beverage, tissue, hardware, confectionary, and many other industries. Employing around 300 people, this facility designs, prints, and manufactures folding cartons, trays, and counter displays for a broad range of products and customers.
