Job Description

Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM) is looking for a Senior Program Manager to support the Multi-Mission Surface Combatant (MMSC) Program in Marinette, WI. The Senior Program Manager is responsible for supporting the program at a cross functional level to ensure project performance aligned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The individual will be responsible for working cross functionally to ensure that all program requirements are tracked and successfully achieved. The Senior Program Manager is the central point of contact and "clearing house" for program actions necessary to meet commitments. The understanding of contractual requirements, program scope and cross functional management are required to be successful in this role. The candidate will be required to be a self-starter that requires little supervision, with a strong initiative to drive the business, coupled with sound business acumen.

The Senior Program Manager is responsible for the management of all critical items and key performance indicators during program execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serves as liaison for critical programmatic actions with the customer. Coordinates timely responses for congressional actions, budgetary actions and other program matters.
  • Responsible for developing board presentations/memos.
  • Will track action items from major milestone meetings to closure.
  • Coordinates and prepares documentation for Customer Reviews.
  • Acts as the primary interface for scheduling of major program events.
  • Customer visits (within contractual requirements / agreements).
  • Responsible for program specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Develops Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
  • Supports various Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) requirements.
  • Supports various Subcontract Data Requirement List (SDRL) requirements.
  • Develops, Implements and Updates Project Schedules.
  • Working knowledge of developing Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) | Project Estimating.
  • Responsible for assisting in Statement of Work (SOW) Decomposition needs.
  • Must have working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) | Cost and Schedule
  • Develops materials for internal and external reviews.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee's workspace is in a clean and comfortable climate-controlled setting with little to no exposure to the moving equipment, elements, extreme conditions, or risk of injury. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. When entering the shipyard, the work environment is not climate-controlled and there is exposure to moving equipment, etc.
