About the role:

CLA is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for our Outsourced Accounting and Finance practice, who can be based out of our Appleton, Oshkosh or Fond du Lac, WI office locations. Our Outsourcing practice helps our clients transform their business with a collaborative approach that allows them to seamlessly mitigate risk, overcome challenges, meet deadlines, and identify personnel to help them with their workforce needs.

As a Senior Accountant, you will:

  • Complete account reconciliations, supporting the month-end closing process, and draft financial statements.
  • Lead coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll
  • Complete sales tax returns and Form 1099s, prepare audit workpapers, tax return workpapers or other forms as requested by clients.
  • Assist with project for internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consultative projects.
  • Oversee Staff and manage the accounting function for smaller clients.
  • Interact with clients to provide technical guidance and recommendations for solutions.
  • Review general ledger, cashflow, allocations, etc.

What you will need:

  • Two years relative accounting and/or financial experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • CPA certification preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred.
  • Prior project management and client management experience preferred but not required.
