We have an exciting opportunity available for a Traffic Engineer in our Madison, WI office. Our new Traffic Engineer will have the opportunity to become an important part of a well-established technical group with room to grow!

Traffic Engineer responsibilities include:

  • Preparing traffic operations analysis for corridor projects, traffic impact analysis studies, transportation planning studies, traffic signal design and timings, roundabout feasibility studies, parking studies, and safety studies.
  • Assisting with project-specific data collection tasks in the field.

We are considering candidates for our Traffic Engineer position who possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • 1-2 years of relatable traffic experience.
  • EIT preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the following software programs: Highway Capacity Software (HCS), SYNCHRO / SimTraffic.
  • Experience with VISSIM, and AutoCAD is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with traffic engineering guidelines, including: WisDOT, ITE, FHWA, AASHTO, and MUTCD publications for preparation of traffic studies would be a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple, complex projects at one time.
  • The Traffic Engineer shall be a motivated individual who can work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Holder of a valid Drivers License to travel to job sites for field work.
