YOUR DAY-DAY WILL INCLUDE:

  • Utilize maps, records, and other resources to accurately locate underground utility lines.
  • Use specialized equipment to mark the location of utilities, following industry standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with construction crews and contractors to ensure the safe excavation and installation of utilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of utility locations and updates.
  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify potential hazards or issues.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Entry level 0 to 5 years of proven experience as a utility locator.
  • Proven experience as a utility locator or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of underground utility systems and the ability to interpret maps and records.
  • Familiarity with utility locating equipment, such as electromagnetic locators and ground-penetrating radar.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable motor vehicle report, cleared background check and negative drug test result.
