Responsible for conducting loan review analysis of differing loan types (ie. CRE, C&I, Specialized, Consumer) in the bank's portfolio with limited supervision and will be the primary lead officer on engagements. Responsible for evaluating compliance with regulatory guidelines and bank policies, assessing the condition and quality of individual credit based on financial, collateral, and documentation analysis, and determining the appropriate risk rating for borrowers according to current Lending Policy and regulatory guidance. In addition, this role will be expected to identify issues and trends resulting in possible recommendations for process improvement, develop suggestions for changes to bank policies/procedures based on loan and process reviews, document review findings, provide support for conclusions, and communicate review findings to various levels of management within the line of business, executive management and appropriate third parties. This role will interact with senior management, multiple lines of business, Credit Administration, and other Bank colleagues. This role will assist with training, annual plan development, performance reviews, and policy development, as needed.Candidates located in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois are strongly preferred.We invite you to view the opportunity below.As a Loan Review Supervisor, you will:

  • Conducts loan review analysis of loans in the bank's various portfolios. The individual will be responsible for evaluating compliance with regulatory and guidelines and bank policies; assessing the condition and quality of individual credits based on financial, collateral and documentation analysis; determining the appropriate risk rating on accounts according to current Lending Policy.
  • Manages a team of Loan Review officers. Plans, directs and oversees the various levels of testing and ongoing monitoring activities of lines of business to identify risk rating accuracy, policy compliance, and prudent credit risk management practices. This role will hold primary responsibility for final report generation to be provided to internal and external business partners.
  • Provides continual feedback to the Loan Review management team regarding existing or emerging risks and generates recommendations for action.
  • This position will interact with the Loan Review management team to provide administrative support, including but not limited to, annual planning, strategic initiative development, colleague performance management, risk assessments, board reporting compilation, and special project execution.
  • Interacts with a variety of colleagues at varying levels, including lines of business, Credit Administration, Special Assets, and other Bank colleagues in the process of reviewing various portfolios or working through special projects.
  • Develop and maintain functional partnerships with the Company's business units to ensure effective loan grading communications as well as conclusions regarding credit underwriting, approval, and administration.
  • HR duties as needed to recruit, onboard, train, support, direct and evaluate Loan Review Officers.


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance or Accounting. Required.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration. Preferred.


Experience

  • At least 11 years Loan Review, Commercial Lending, Credit Administration, or Regulatory Examination. Required.
  • At least 2 years Staff Supervision. Preferred.


Licenses and Certifications

  • Other BAI Loan Review Certificate. Preferred.
  • Other RMA Credit Risk Certification. Preferred.
  • CPA - Certified Public Accountant. Preferred.
  • CFA-Charted Financial Analyst. Preferred.
