Substitute Band Teacher

Ultimately, we are looking for a candidate who will be leading rehearsals of two wind bands, scheduling and instructing lessons with individual and small groups of students during the school day, and providing instruction for an AP Music Theory class. The candidate should be able to commit to working from May 6 through June 5.

The applicant should possess knowledge of and experience in working with wind bands in both a concert and marching band setting.

Responsibilities

* Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent

* Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives

* Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment

* Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration

* Perform other duties as directed by school administration
