Position Summary: |
The Department of Biology at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh invites applications for an assistant professor position beginning September 2024, contributing primarily to the Oshkosh campus, with the possibility of contributing to both campuses. This tenure-track faculty position will involve teaching courses in Introductory Biology, Human Physiology, Animal Physiology and an upper-level physiology elective in the candidate's area of expertise. Our teaching expectations include the ability to teach in multiple modalities such as online (synchronous or asynchronous) and hybrid courses, due to the changing needs of our students. The successful candidate will pursue an active research program, perform campus and community service, and service to the profession, as well as be given the opportunity to participate in department and campus governance. Responsibilities | Teach undergraduate courses in Introductory Biology, Human Physiology, Animal Physiology, and upper-level Physiology elective in the candidate's area of expertise. Set up an active research program involving undergraduate and graduate students. Participate in governance of the department, college and university. |
