Job Description

Job: Part-Time, non-exempt, hourly 

Supervisor: Director of Gallery Media 

Starting Wage: $18.00 / Hour

 

General Purpose:  

Support the Milwaukee Art Museum and its mission by setting up, maintaining and operating audio visual equipment that is used to enhance both internal and external events. 

 

Education/Experience Requirements:  

  • Live audio/visual production, basic understanding of signal flow and mixing, including switching, programming and streaming 
  • Stage lighting setup 
  • The ability to trouble shoot and solve problems under pressure 
  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism at all times 

Duties & Responsibilities:  

 

  • Operate A.V. Equipment in different areas of the museum campus 
  • Set up a variety of in-house equipment for internal and external events 
  • Events include featured exhibition openings, weddings, corporate events, video screenings, lectures, educational meetings etc., for which technical support and set-up is usually required 
  • Assist in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies 
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends, on-call assignments as needed.
  • Assist Director of Gallery Media with digital projects as needed  

Requirements

Physical Requirements:  

  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds 
  • May need to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl 
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk 
  • Vision to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus 
  • Use of hands to feel or handle things 
  • Reach with arms or hands
