Inside Sales Representative (ISR)

As a member of the Ardelyx Sales team, the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) will work with our Sales Leadership Team and Area Business Directors in supporting and supplementing our field-based sales efforts as well as managing your own sales opportunities and accounts. Responsibilities

  • Achieve assigned sales objectives.
  • Engage with prospects and customers to promote IBSRELA and future medication(s) and the Ardelyx mission utilizing effective sales skills, mainly via phone, email, and video conferencing interactions in compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.
  • Build an expertise on all product related matters.
  • Focus on collaboration and teamwork to deliver favorable results to customers, patients, and Ardelyx.
  • Collaborate with field-based sales personnel to develop sales strategies to maximize sales productivity, follow-through and results.
  • Attend sales meetings, conference calls, and on-going training sessions.
  • Manage out-bound and in-bound sales opportunities and customer needs.
  • Research new sales opportunities using company provided resources.
  • Update and manage CRM with detailed and accurate information.
  • Monitor and analyze data and market conditions to identify opportunities and competitive advantages.
  • Follow established sales operating procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure activities comply with laws, regulations, and Ardelyx compliance policies.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Biotech/Pharmaceutical Rep or related sales field.
  • Proven track record of sales success/highly motivated - consistent track record of achieving and/or outperforming sales goals.
  • Ability to master product information effectively represent product to customers.
  • Ability to understand/develop and implement sales strategies and tactics.
  • Demonstrated experience in competitive markets.
  • Ability to engage customers with keen focus on their needs and experiences.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Possesses integrity, work with honesty, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft product suite & CRM systems preferred.
  • Ability to apply videoconferencing and other digital technologies to optimize interactions with customers.
  • Proven sales experience, prior healthcare, biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences experience not required, but preferred.
  • An understanding of the laws and regulations applicable to sales and marketing of pharmaceutical products to physicians and healthcare organizations not required, but preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Work Environment

  • This position reports to the Director, Inside Sales.
  • This position is office-based (downtown Milwaukee, WI).
  • This position may require up to 10% travel for customer visits, company meetings, conferences (dependent on area geography/size).

The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $65,000 to $85,000. Ardelyx utilizes industry data to ensure that our compensation is competitive and aligned with our industry peers. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target and equity awards, subject to eligibility and other requirements.
