Job Responsibilities: | |||||||||||
Caseworker- Intensive Tracking Position Summary: Provide intensive in-home monitoring and support to at risk juveniles, who are either at high risk for placement out of their homes or returning to their homes from corrections or other institutional placements, with the goal of maintaining these juveniles successfully in their homes/community.

Job Qualifications: | |||||||||||
Minimal Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field; Knowledge of the Juvenile Justice System; May substitute Bachelor's Degree with Associate Degree plus extensive experience in the field with juveniles and bilingual; Must pass criminal background check; Valid driver's license and insured automobile required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of the Juvenile Justice System: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to respond to crisis situations; Solid computer skills; Ability to work with diverse juvenile offender population; Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload, must be trained in all WCS required Evidence Based Principals within 90 days of hire and follow models of fidelity established by the agency.

Working Conditions: The majority of work is conducted out of the office, requiring extensive driving throughout Waukesha County; Individual meetings with juvenile offenders in home, at school, and in the community; Transport clients; Office work to complete computer and paperwork; Average 40 hours per week; Flexible work schedule, includes 24-hour, 7 days per week on-call, crisis pager (must be available for coverage to handle crisis calls from clients/parents); Must attend DHS staffing and court appearances.
Physical Demands: Ability to conduct extensive driving in Waukesha County for long periods of time; Ability to sit at work station for up to 2 hours at a time; Requires hand and finger dexterity. |
