Job Description

LAKELAND COLLEGE, a liberal arts institution, seeks qualified candidates for the position of Director of International Recruitment. Reporting to the Senior Director of Admissions, this position provides leadership and coordination relating to: recruitment and enrollment of students from Lakeland’s sister institutions abroad; recruitment and enrollment of students unassociated with any sister institutions; exploration, assessment and action plans related to recruitment in new geographic market areas for the college.   This position will require an intimate working relationship with the Director of International Programs and the Senior Director of Admissions as the college looks to expand its international student recruitment efforts.

The Director of International Recruitment will join a collaborative team of staff and faculty that are working together to further grow and develop Lakeland’s international ties.  These ties are not simply limited to international students studying at Lakeland College, though that population is a strong component of Lakeland’s identity as a diverse liberal arts institution.  The ties also involve the aforementioned sister institution partnerships around the world, a robust English Language Institute on-campus, and a growing study abroad repertoire for our domestic students.  In partnership with this group of staff and faculty, the Director of International Recruitment will work to maintain the strong population that joins Lakeland from abroad every year, as well as look to develop new markets in geographic areas that are otherwise underrepresented currently on campus.

A Bachelor's degree is required, a Master's preferred, along with direct experience in higher education or related field. Excellent communication skills are a must for this position and the qualified candidate will also possess a strong work ethic, be well organized and detail oriented, and be a self-starter with the ability to work independently while also operate as a team player. The candidate must also possess proficiency in Microsoft Office, a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and availability for international travel. A competitive salary is offered along with a comprehensive benefit program. For consideration, please click on apply now and submit a letter of interest, resume and three current letters of recommendation.
