Dairy Programs is one of eight programs of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS). Dairy Programs serves dairy farmers, processors, and consumers through programs administered in a consistent and equitable manner that promote an efficient marketing system. This is accomplished by:
  • Stabilizing the marketing relationships between dairy farmers and processors,
  • Providing accurate, impartial and timely market information,
  • Establishing domestic and international quality standards,
  • Providing a grading service for the industry, and
  • Facilitating the promotion of milk and dairy products.

dairy products.

VISION: Dairy Programs’ vision is to be efficient, effective, and innovative in program service delivery in the continually changing industry and government environments and to provide excellence in customer service and industry relations with highly skilled and motivated employees.
