Overview

ProSphere (PST), a Planned Systems International company (PSI), referred to as PSI-PST is seeking a Desktop Technician. The Technician will provide routine IT customer support in both administrative and technical areas including user administration and directory rights. The successful candidate should also have a working knowledge of documentation (technical writing) and inventory. This is a full time position located in Landover, MD. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

Performs installation of image on desktop and laptop GFE on a mass scale. Provide operational and maintenance quality control checks for every GFE post image. Provide diagnostic support to include hardware and software troubleshooting and repairs on a mass scale. Daily use of Helpdesk ticketing system. Provide onsite Tier 1 and 2 desktop support as needed to include, but not limited to, equipment set-up, system back-up/restores, software installations, and equipment maintenance. Duties will be clearly laid out, and typically repetitive in nature; however, some independent judgment and decision making will be required.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company, plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such way as to maximize personal output. Accomplishing goals through organization, positive oral/written communication skill, leadership abilities, reliability/dependability, flexibility and ownership/accountability of actions taken.

Minimum Requirements
    3-5 years of experience conducting mass imaging of laptops and desktops
  • 3-5 years of experience troubleshooting hardware issues, and providing warranty repairs
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills for federal government client(s) strongly preferred.
  • 1-2 years of practical work experience providing general IT support / Help Desk Tiers 1 and 2
  • 1-2 years of supporting PC's
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical and end-user problems in a customer service-oriented team environment.
  • Experience installing and maintaining, applications and associated hardware and peripherals; assisting users with IT procedures, system setup and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Active directory creating, computer account, user account, moving device to different Object Unit and resetting/unlocking user's account.
  • Proficient with Windows 10, MS 365 , and Adobe software.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction providing technical and non-technical support to multiple users.
  • Capable to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and highly professional customer services skills.
